Someone down the hall from me just got a copy of this game to review, and it looks totally hilarious...like a cross between American Idol and Mixerman's Bitchslap chronicles. Anyone else seen this?

Forget the game, tell us more about that band!

Anyone remember "Rock Star ate my hamster" for the Speccy?

Speaking of the Mixerman Bitchslap chronicles...whatever happened with that? Did he continue? Can you please provide a link? Please?! That was some of the most entertaining writing I've ever read on the Internet. Kudos to whoever provided the initial link many months ago. I was thoroughly engrossed.

This game looks great. I could spend the entire day assembling and manipulating riot grrrl lounge acts.

Rock Star manager is ace but it has no playability factor you just manage a huge set of cliched bands, stop two brothers from splitting up so they can do their stadium gig, total oasis parody, as well as reviving a heavy metal band and keeping a fey singer songwriter from quitting music till ya get their album out.

It is grateness but it's not half as good as rock star ate my hamster, ya can pick up an emuga emulator with a rock star ate my hamster rom pretty easily i think, that's probably more fun, they share a whole lot of tongue in cheek attitude amongst other things

eight months pass...
"Mixerman Bitchslap chronicles" when typed into Google produces a triple "Googlewhack"! (Results 1 - 1 of 1.)

My work here is done. thank you.

I knew that either Lynskey or Dom Passantino would mention this, for some reason.

If I'd have read this thread at the time, I'm sure I would have. Dorrissey...

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 06:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Am I imagining things, or did I hear somewhere that the band in that Mixerman story was the Waxwings?

Oh no! I'm wrong. They were the subject of the famous "pissed off letter" the specifics of which I cannot remember.
