London Records dropped them little over a year after "HMS Fable" came out, as part of a hasty roster-cleaning that also purged them of Asian Dub Foundation. This, despite the fact that Shack's album sold respectably in the UK, NME made it their #2 album of the year, and the same mag speculated that Michael Head might be the greatest songwriter in Britain. Head has got to be one of the most star-crossed musicians of the past 20 years -- shame, 'cause I thought "HMS Fable" was wonderful. And so was "Waterpistol."

Apparently Heavenly were trying to work out a deal with them but this was a good few months back and no announcement has been forthcoming..
