Have you heard Aidan Smith? Brilliant. Going to do an article about thim. What do you mean; 'Save twisted nerve'....go into detail, young man!

robotman, Monday, 27 January 2003 10:19 (twenty-three years ago)

it felt like the 'nerve had gone into a little bit of a decline but they seem to be picking up speed again.. plus there's lots more Dave Tyack to come too!!

must open up my jukebox 45 singles and listen to them sooner or later...

i would suggest the jane weaver track which is ace. aidan smith - like to know what you think of him - tom waits...like. um, what else? super danny webbox is cool. and stazi camping up the manchester scene with electro clash and masqued mexican wrestlers???
what did you think of misty dixon? the beautiful ones? have been obsessing over twisted nerve for some time.

robotman, Monday, 27 January 2003 23:36 (twenty-three years ago)

misty dixon will OWN once their LP is out. jane weaver is brilliant..

by the way i have fucked off ile, already. christ, is this place loaded with nothing but twats?????????????????????????????????????

robotman, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 07:47 (twenty-three years ago)

i had no objection with your presence there. it just so isn't necessary to say "i'm going and i'm not coming back" all the time. really.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 07:51 (twenty-three years ago)

'tis all a bit sick and twisted. but that thread convinced me how crap it all is...

i had to write myself out of there. and really, if you read that thread, you NOW understand, why i don't want to go back there and have no interest in the people there. and how fucked off i am that i spent so much TIME THERE. a waste.

now really!

have you listened to the twisted nerve 45s, yet, jim?

robotman, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 07:55 (twenty-three years ago)

just breaking the seal on #2 right now..

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 07:57 (twenty-three years ago)

cool. i am heading to work - we can chat about twisted nerve jukebox, then??? excited about what you think of aidan smith...

robotman, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 08:00 (twenty-three years ago)

hmmm Luma Lane remind me of Piano Magic

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 08:02 (twenty-three years ago)

ooh this Aidan Smith is rather good. sorta early BDB and dakota oak in its outlook.. gently groovy

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 08:04 (twenty-three years ago)

i'm going to write about aidan smith. that song has something; don't it, i can hear badly drawn boy's early lo-fi work but at the same time, something else, at first i thought gomez but after numerous listenings it's just got that something else.

luma lane = piano magic??? jim can you suggest some piano magic for me to listen to??

robotman, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 08:12 (twenty-three years ago)

by the by, i have another luma lane track in my slsk files - i'm under doomie. have a look... that one is deceptively beautiful. they or she played live lately - missed it - grrr...

what do you think of stazi??

robotman, Tuesday, 28 January 2003 08:15 (twenty-three years ago)

i didn't get that far through the stazi track, the v/vm-ish intro sorta put me off, but i'll go back to it.

i must open up & listen to #3 later on..

i think the piano magic query has been answered better on the other thread than i could have done. gareth's suggestions were particularly good, i'd only add "french mittens" which is indeed the track i was thinking of when i mentioned PM..
