I actually prefer the Homos' version over Sabbath's!

It's just so dumb and of that time... it's the best encapsulation of Uncle Al's Crack Smack Farm IndustriaMetal Production Team at its finest. Its decline started there.

never heard "it's alright"

When I was 16 the 1kHDJ cover of Supernaut was, like, one of my favorite songs in the world. I still think it's pretty rad. And you're right db, it is better than the original.

b-but that's my favourite Sabbath song. That cover has gotta be pretty damn good.

we used to go ape shit over 1khdj's version of supernaut...but the original rocks just as hard.

"it's alright" i can't even remember.

Me too, though I actually prefer 1000 Homo DJs original version where Trent Reznor did "Supernaut"'s vocals. It still doesn't beat "Hey Asshole" which comes right after it on their EP.

The version on the Wax Trax cassette sampler from what? `91? still has the Trent vocals on it (that were stripped off for the vinyl and disc release).

1000 Homo Dj's finest hour remains "Apathy."

I don't remember G'n'R's "It's Alright" either.

i don't think anyone remembers it -- it's a new cover, one off of 'Chinese Democracy', the alb no one heard, right?

i also forgot to mention that i loved when ministry played "supernaut" on the lollapalooza tour in '92... that was nice. although, they played so loudly, i could barely hear anything afterwards. and i was still about 200 ft from the stage.

i do recall seeing someone toss a large jack daniels bottle 50ft off the ground out of the pit into the crowd ahead...

"memories!"

Supernaut, natch. As much as I would love Reznor to stop recording, yeah, the hyperbole here is justified, and the 1000 Homo DJs version is better than Sabbath's.

"APATHY" !!!

Paul (scifisoul), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 04:02 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought the Supernaut story was that Al distorted Trent's vocals so much they were simply unidentifiable i.e. both versions were actually Trent (so fuck you TVT).

nine years pass...

i've always wondered: is the "practically every one of the top 40 records..." intro a sample?

Unbelivably stupid posts above about that version being better than Sabbath's.
