"E is for Everybody" is the BEST poppy house song in about 10 years.

I just found out last Friday that they're Jill Cunniff's pet project. You can definitely hear the ghost of Luscious Jackson in a few tracks.

Yeah, they're great. I've exhausted myself explaining the majesty of the sped-up version of the Monk electro mix of this song too.
I wrote a bomb-ass review of the Cooler Kids record but noone in Vancouver wanted to run it because they were too busy jerking off about Hot Hot Heat and the 'canadian powerpop renaissance'. This fucking city, this fucking cutesy piece of shit COUNTRY, does not deserve me.

Le Coq (DarrenK), Monday, 12 January 2004 22:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone should hear this so I ripped the Monk mix from the DJ Mea 'No Shame' promo (a lot busier and faster than the album's hidden track version of the Monk mix - sorry about the abruptness/quality though, I don't know how to rip the preceding song's final seconds for a fade-in and such).

Matos have you heard this mix? I recall you liked the Kids.

"E is for Everybody" is _insane_. And great. And it was on the Kim Possible soundtrack--did NOBODY at Disney catch the BLATANT drug references...?

did NOBODY at Disney catch the BLATANT drug references...?

Oh, you mean the same that put an erect penis on The Little Mermaid video cover? Yeah, they knew...

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 15:12 (twenty-two years ago)

er, same Disney

The cover photo of the album appealed to me when I saw it on the store shelf. When I saw Jill Cunniff's name on the back, I had to get it.

It was worth the $9.99. It's pretty entertaining all the way through.

Radiohead's hit song, "Creep", Tuesday, 13 January 2004 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Excellent. Jill sort of lost her way at the end of Luscious Jackson (Electric Honey wasn't very good, except for Nervous Breakthrough), so it's fantastic to hear her involved with this - it's as if there was an entire album based on the template of the radio mix of LJ's "Here", i.e. groovy, feelgood pop.

Thanks, Coq. That mix r00lz.

MISSY SAY REEEEEEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVEEE!

I picked this up for a couple of quid yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it. 'E Is For Everybody' is indeed the shit, it harshes a bit that it's all wall to wall twee 4/4 discotech pop, but I hear skills, so I won't complain too much. May yet earn the space in my heart that sits next to Plus-Tech Squeeze Box's.
