S: blue singles collection, Monomania

D: yellow bootleg CD collection (though it has a few moments, it's distintly superior to their other early stuff), Alternative Stereo Sounds.

Search everything up to and including "Alternative Stereo Sounds". "Monomania" is OK but inessential. Anything involving Simon Dine is completely essential.

The Spirea X album is a lost treasure as well.

I don't think they ever matched the blue singles collection, but that's a pretty extraordinary record.

Spirea X are impossible to forget if (like me) you spend more time than you should looking through the sale bins in secondhand record shops.

Beattie *was* Primal Scream as far as I'm concerned.

"Jet Pilot", one of the tracks om Spirea X's second EP, is a total pop classic.

search everything but the yellow cd. i am not much for noonday underground. the a capella version of 'god save us' is perfect.
i thought 'monomania' was a step up from 'alternative stereo sounds' but i love it all. spirea x is pretty good but jim's not much of a singer.
