Massive Attack "Daydreaming" - c or d?

Saw the video to this tonight.....

This tune laid down a gauntlet for a different sort of hip hop ....that was never picked up by any other artists. The lyrics are delivered in a unique way and the stream of conciousness style suits Tricky better than any of his solo work.

I can relate to this tune in a way I will never (as much as I love it none the less) to US Hip Hop.

I fear that Massive Attacks moment in the sun has passed ....the moment where "Here Comes the Sun" drops into this tune is inspirational.

Put on Wally Babarou "Mambo" afterwards - the tune on which Daydreaming is based. Absolutely beautiful - makes me wonder about when they heard it and realised it would be perfect for freestyling over.

Daydreaming represents the future ....but is left in the past

ABSOLUTELY classic. this song is unbelievably gorgeous; and i like Tricky here better than i ever have elsewhere (although i like a lot of his other stuff, too).

Yeah, I agree with all of the above. It's pretty much a perfect song. That whole album is amazing, but that song and "Safe From Harm" are the two I keep going back to (where'd Shara Nelson go, anyway? Her solo disc was nice). Which reminds me I really need to get a new copy of Blue Lines. Mine skips on the last two tracks.
