TS: Low "Amazing Grace" vs Richard Marx's "Hazard"

For some reason (possibly the fact that they sound very similar) when I first heard Low's latest album opener, "Hazard" immediately sprang to mind. Any one else pick up on this?

Which do I prefer? Oh, I couldn't possibly choose! Both are mysterious, haunting Pop Ballads par excellence. The last time I heard "Hazard" was in a pub about a year ago, but the melody is still fresh in my mind, and I would greatly like to hear it again.

Opinions?

I once posted a bit of the lyrics to Hazard as the title of a thread in a stupid silly way and it got a few replies over the next year or so from people who were looking for the song but couldn't remember what it was called. Ah, the web.

Oh God, when my sister made me listen to this album that was one of the first comparisons that came to my mind. "I can see that" she said, somewhat grudgingly. I prefer "Hazard" FWIW.

"Hazard" is great, especially when played over Romney Marsh.

"Hazard," NATCH! All my rescues are gone...

Now if only Low did a song that sounded like "Satisfied."
