keith (keithmcl), Sunday, 16 February 2003 23:23 (twenty-three years ago)

I try not to hotly anticipate (leads to hotly overrating or underrating, not to mention that I have so much stuff to listen to that I'm never too hungry for the non-existent), but I'll admit a definite curiousity about Travis Morrison's eventual solo album and whatever Eric Valentine produces next.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 16 February 2003 23:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Four Tet - Rounds (Domino) / May 5th

DJ Martian (djmartian), Sunday, 16 February 2003 23:43 (twenty-three years ago)

one for the german house fans:

Markus Guentner "Audio Island" [Ware]: If you have yet to latch onto the Ware moniker, and its little shopping cart icon, here is your chance. Kompakt alum and sometime Tresor / Ultraschall DJ, Guentner has mastered the puffy, glowing 8-minute house track. This is his second full-length [after 2001's "In Moll"] and things have gotten even better. There are a few vocal tracks and epics like "Sunset" and "Lost Paradise" remind us just what is so captivating about the kolnsound. "Such A Shame" [the Talk Talk cover] gets a remix from Swayzak later this year and "So Well [feat. Acid Maria]" is the odds-on favorite to be an uberhitt. "Sleep Not Or Ye Shall Be Slept On" -- T. Haslett. [sometime in March? ]

DJ Martian (djmartian), Sunday, 16 February 2003 23:46 (twenty-three years ago)

White Hassle's Death of Song, been waiting 6 years for this, finally should come out in a month or so...

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 17 February 2003 15:18 (twenty-three years ago)

There's a new Circulatory System? When. Where. How.

All I know is what I read in Pitchfork: http://pitchforkmedia.com/news/02-10/22.shtml

Neudonym, Monday, 17 February 2003 17:31 (twenty-three years ago)

A lot of the records that I was 'hotly anticipating' I've already heard by now...I suppose that I'm looking foward to the new Radiohead, but I'm not terribly excited about it at the moment. I am looking foward to hearing the next New Pornographers LP, because I really love that song on the Matador site. I'm always up for more Pollard music.

That new Outkast record should be fun.

Matthew Perpetua, Monday, 17 February 2003 18:16 (twenty-three years ago)

CAT POWER

jm (jtm), Monday, 17 February 2003 19:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, looking back at the hopes for 2003 thread, there ain't fuck all chance of any of my hopes actually coming true. We might make the Cup final, though. Then lose to Arsenal.

MBICR should be interesting, though.

'Boston Legal" at 10 PM EST
bedtime.
Eventual CD reissues of Delta 5's 'See The Whirl,' Human Switchboard's 'Who's Landing In My Hangar?,' and Human Sexual Response's 'In A Roman Mood;'
The inevitably anticimactic Roxy Music CD with sexy artwork feat. 'cover star' Bea Arthur on a bed of twigs.
Alvin & The Chipmunks Christmas remix of 'Smell Yo Dick.'
That's about it.

Dr. Joseph A. Ofalt, Wednesday, 28 November 2007 01:54 (eighteen years ago)
