QOTSA are getting a lot of work this year, aren't they? I wonder how long that will last.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 08:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Might actually go this time, probably only on Sunday though.

Chris Barrus (xibalba), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 08:13 (twenty-three years ago)

G. Love and Special Sauce

?!?! They're still around?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 13:37 (twenty-three years ago)

>G. Love and Special Sauce

Apparently somebody within the Goldenvoice organization must love them because this is their second time on the bill despite total audience indifference.

WHEREZ THE KRAFTWERK ON THIS BILL??!?!??!?!?

Primal Scream, eh?

I remember reading that they had sworn off playing in the United States forever not that long ago.

Matthew Perpetua (Matthew Perpetua), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 14:38 (twenty-three years ago)

G. Love and Special Sauce... are still around?

2001's Electric Mile is actually a worthwhile listen -- i think they're maturing well.

christoff (christoff), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 15:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Blue Man group plays both days? Huh?

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 15:59 (twenty-three years ago)

It'll be a 48 hour performance involving them crawling up towering amplifiers and striking weird poses. It's a game, you see -- how much filth can you fling at them before they fall to the earth again?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 16:02 (twenty-three years ago)

I dunno. I can fling a lot of filth. I'm a goldarned filth-flinger, i am!

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 16:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Where's th'electronica???!

Leee (Leee), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Fischerspooner in a polo field in the middle of the desert! I'm there! They should have a paintball battle w/ the Blue Man Group.

Coachella is the most fun I've had at a concert/event type thing since moving to LA, except for maybe Hanson at the Hollywood Bowl. And I thought I'd really hate it. Lots of cute guys running around with their shirts off, if you're into that sort of thing. Corny indie dudes gone wild!!! The drinking thing is a bit of a drag, though--you can buy beer, but you have to drink it in The Beer Pen.

Arthur (Arthur), Wednesday, 19 February 2003 19:54 (twenty-three years ago)

one month passes...
Thread revive! Just added to the Sunday line-up: Iggy And The Stooges
