Yup. Maybe a bit too detailed and concentrate too much on rare / unreleased / alternative versions for the neophyte and possibly a little bit too "greatest hits" for anyone who's got all the albums; although there is plenty of rare / unreleased stuff on there (in particular there's quite a lot of very early stuff, which may not be to everyone's tastes but I suspect you'll enjoy it Dr. C!). Basically a good, classic box-set, "alternative history" and definitely a good way of supplementing - rather than replacing - your old Bolan LP's.

At the risk of giving my grandmother a lecture on the finer points of egg sucking techniques; shop around - I managed to find it for about £20 but I've seen it on sale for double that.

i've been interested in checking out his earlier stuff. i have and have loved forever the slider and electric warrior. i hear his earlier stuff is folkier, and with more whimsy? what should i check out and what should i expect.

Thanks Stewart. What do you reckon to the earlier stuff on there?

BTW I can get it for £26, I think.

Mixed bag - some great, some a bit dodgy but all interesting.
