Have you ever farted in public either intentionally or unintentionally? And, if you did, were you identified as the culprit? And, if you were, how did you deal with it?

I love the fact that this ended up here. Are we supposed to talk about musicians who fart on stage? This could be good.

sorry about that.. i thought i was in ile.... anyway, i have farted many times at gigs... some really foul one but with the noise blaring and smoke swirling... who the fuck can really tell where the whiffs are coming from? I also fart on the plane alot... sometimes I am really at odds why no one starts screaming at me because I know I am always the prime suspect.

I thought this was going to be a play on the old "growing up in public" adage. Can someone please further develop this analogy?

I don't care, everybody farts except for girls and Dave Matthews, and who wants to be Dave Matthews.

Mike Taylor (mjt), Friday, 28 February 2003 02:19 (twenty-three years ago)

if dave matthews does not fart how do you explain that horrid smell that's always about him?

jethro (jethro), Friday, 28 February 2003 02:24 (twenty-three years ago)

stench of failure

does dave matthews look like tom hanks to you?

jethro (jethro), Friday, 28 February 2003 02:33 (twenty-three years ago)

If Dave Matthews looks like Tom Hanks, who would his musical counterpart be in Busom Buddies?

Mike Taylor (mjt), Friday, 28 February 2003 04:45 (twenty-three years ago)

The lead singer of Silverchair?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 28 February 2003 04:47 (twenty-three years ago)

.. But Dave Matthews looks more like Jeremy Piven.. So I guess his counterpart would be one of the Indigo Girls.

"baggy dungarees leave me room to breathe/in a room full of crackers I might cut the cheese"

Bobby D Gray (bedhead), Friday, 28 February 2003 13:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Dave Matthews + Jeremy Piven = my roommate. and my roommate farts, oh yes he does.

thank for bumping this thread and thereby reminding me of the expression 'cut the cheese', which I haven't thought about in at least a few years

Always reminds me of Public Enemy:

Suckers, ducks, ho-hum emcees
You can't rock the kid, so go cut the cheese
