Y'know it might just be that I'm listening to "The Yard Went On Forever" right now but fuck it I think he's one of my very fav singers EVER, and Jimmy Webb did his best songs/arrangements (I think) EVER just for him.

I love the albums but, errrrrrrrrrrr, he can't actually sing - it works very well on occasion but gets grating after a while.

seven years pass...

I've been listening to the two Harris/Webb albums for the first time in a while the last few days. They're really great. I love his wobbly, at times slightly unhinged voice, and the melodies and arrangements - particularly on A Tramp Shining - are really delicious.
