What an amazing CD(-R). It's a collection of Ellard stuff from 2000 to 2004.. definitely the best stuff I've heard since Rotund For Success... "Capitola", "Rental Heart"(!), "Symptom Symphony", "Nigella Type B", and that untitled bonus track (#17) are all up there with the classics from the early to mid 80s IMHO.

Tracks from the 1.0. version may be downloaded by Op2 owners. Please consult the cards that are supplied with Op2 for passwords to the bonus tracks. See opdate
Once upon a time Ellard was commuting between Sydney and San Francisco and was writing music on the fly which was going to be called Lap Top Pop. Written on United Airways. That went on for a while and then somebody decided to break into the studio and steal all the laptops. I hope the smack killed them. Anyway, there was no more lap tops and no more pop. Choice: forget it or try recreate it. I was hungry and I chose wrong. I made Op. That's the bit left over.
So I tried to recreate it and quickly and get the album out quickly so haha mister smack thief I trounce you. But once bad shit hits it doesn't let go. The album was mixed on dodgy monitoring, it was all wrong. And then the copies started to come back. Defective, won't play. Misery.
Short term - record Op 1.1 and Op 1.2 and give it to people. Sit down and think slowly and then try again THIS TIME FOR SURE. The funny thing was - the substitutes Op1.1, Op1.2 Op2.2 etc. etc. always seemed to work out better than the damn main album. Some albums simply don't want to be. As it stands half of it is wonderful and half of it not as much. But thing is, no one will agree on which half.
...
Glad I checked the site. I have all those cards that came in the DVD case, so I'll have to investigate/unlock what came before 2.0. Also I'll have to search out what track 17 is on this CD-R.
