they're lovely. the singer has a gentle, inoffensive voice but they are clever enough to come up with some complex and interesting songs. they ahve a new album out on matinee' this year. live they are marvelous too energizing some of the songs on the debut album that were a bit too tepid after their trip to the recording studio.

Love 'em and can't wait for new material. Since Jen is on tour with Aislers Set at the moment, maybe there will be a Fairways tour shortly thereafter?

Recently I was channel-surfing, and happened to come across some Kirsten Dunst film with Fairways music in the background.

I am currently suffering Matinee 50-related paroxysms.

The Fairways? I like them but nowhere near as much as some other stuff on Matinee. And lots, lots more than something else on the label.

do elaborate. there's only one band Matinee's released that I've really disliked, and that was the godawful Ego.

The 'electronic' version of 'KLM Line' is so terrific! I've only ever known the acoustic alternative till now.
