sorry to burden you with this, but it is late and i am drunk and i have never ever understood why the fall are not held in the kind of esteem that radiohead are, except x10. i see what "creep" is trying to do (quiet - then loud - how inspired) but "CREEP" still gets its hooks into my head and makes me involuntarily smile. um, am i alone in this ?

Hm, I think The Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall has "C.R.E.E.P." on it. Should I buy?

You are a scum egg!

Gazuga yes - that record's usually quite cheap and it also has "Elves", "No Bulbs", "Disney's Dream Debased", "Pat-Trip Dispenser" etc etc it is mighty.

He likes ABC! It's on the A-Sides record which is mostly great too.

I like both, but definitely the the Fall's "CREEP". It makes me feel shiny and happy for no discernable reason at all and I never fail to sing along with the chorus. It's also a reminder of how great Brix was, she is still missed.

I'm still puzzled as to why she came back when she did! I'm not that surprised when she left again, of course.

The Fall, in any event. No contest.

C.R.E.E.P.

geeta (geeta), Thursday, 27 March 2003 19:45 (twenty-three years ago)

oh my god, this is the easiest 'taking sides' ever. One second of The Fall over anything Thom fucking Yorke has ever been involved with (even the PJ Harvey song).
