Sandstorm was really quite good, I thought. And Beat Mama.

There were a lot of musically similar bands that were truly great. :-)

CATS ARE SOFT.

John Power's voice was at least distinctive

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 27 March 2003 23:43 (twenty-three years ago)

and 'Finetime' at the start almost, ALMOST, sounds a little like 'Paradise City'

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 27 March 2003 23:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, anyway, "Walkaway" was actually a great song

Something nice about Cast? Well.....John was in the La's, who were great.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 27 March 2003 23:55 (twenty-three years ago)

get up is kinda catchy

gaz (gaz), Friday, 28 March 2003 00:02 (twenty-three years ago)

The logo is cool.

All Change was a fantastic album. Mother Nature Calls was pretty good as well, especially the songs Never Gonna Tell You What To Do and Dance Of The Stars.

Bass player Peter Wilkinson rules. He's playing with Echo & the Bunnymen these days, doing such a terrific job that I'd like him to be a permanent member. Great backing vocals and lively spirit. He enjoys what he's doing.

Gatinha (rwillmsen), Friday, 28 March 2003 00:32 (twenty-three years ago)

I will not tell the Cast story.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 28 March 2003 02:16 (twenty-three years ago)

allright is a good song
i think it was originally by the la's,i have a version of it by them somewhere...

robin (robin), Friday, 28 March 2003 04:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Ok, you cannot tease us like that, Nicole.

Um, Walkaway wasn't a terrible song.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 28 March 2003 05:08 (twenty-three years ago)

History sounded great live.

willem (willem), Friday, 28 March 2003 10:15 (twenty-three years ago)

They've split-up now, and that's nice.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Friday, 28 March 2003 10:43 (twenty-three years ago)

better than the La's

dave q, Friday, 28 March 2003 10:46 (twenty-three years ago)

really dave?

(not that i like the la's or anything)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 28 March 2003 10:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I will not. It's just sad.

My sister did ask me the other day if the current gulf war reminded me of "Sandstorm" by Cast like it did to her. I did not know what to say.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 28 March 2003 13:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Both Sandstorm by Cast and the Gulf War 2 fill me with fear for humanity's future.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Friday, 28 March 2003 13:48 (twenty-three years ago)

heh cast did "walk away" which was good. as was "guiding star".

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Friday, 28 March 2003 13:51 (twenty-three years ago)

'really dave?'

Umm, maybe not, that was just my faux-Calvinism kicking in

dave q, Friday, 28 March 2003 13:52 (twenty-three years ago)

I luv Calvin & Hobbes.
