There is mixed opinion (judging from this forum's posts) on whether US or China perform better. Tomahawks absolutely dominate the center, however China can cut off all the chokes and derricks.
TD is effectively a bowling alley, you have the center and the gutters, and there are many narrow chokes that you must get by. GLA can't do nearly as much as the other two factions around chokes. There is also little room to hide networks as there are no out of the way areas. Also no one can clear the buildings in center as easily/cheaply as the US.
I would agree that everyone knows TD and that all 3 factions stand a chance, but the rest I don't completely agree with. I think symmetrical maps where there is more space to maneuver (preferable square in shape, as rectangular forces things into chokes) are perhaps easier to make fair.
