Maybe not worthy of it's own thread, this question (though I suppose we could just turn it into a discussion of how ace the song is), but...

Where exactly is that bassline swiped from? I feel like this is really obvious, and it's a song that I a) own and b) have heard some time in the last couple of weeks, but cannot for the life of my figure out what it is. Maybe it's not exactly the same, but surely someone else has heard this and said "oh, that's the bassline from..." Sly? P-Funk?

irrelevant to this thread, but mayer's "speaker" is the best thing kompakt's done in YEARS, so i'm very curious to hear this.
