Disturbing lyrics

I've got one in mind right now, from Magazine, 'Permafrost':

"As the day stops dead
On the place where we're lost
I will drug you and fuck you
On the permafrost"

So very, deliciously fucked up. Any other takers?

the live version of Daniel Johnston's "Funeral Home" always freaks me out

"One more time--with feeling! Everybody, it's gonna happen, you know it's gonna happen.. It happens every day. Billions and billions of people have already died. You too will die. Sing along with this one won't you?"

BBR's jolly 'kill yourself or get over it' with pleasant guitars and xylophone riff in the background has caused me to consider doing a similary fluffy, pleasant, major-chorded up version of Permafrost.

(dude, I'm not sure you're supposed to enjoy it that much!)

Just a little sampling from Nick Cave's "Papa Won't Leave You, Henry"

And I came upon a little house
A little house upon a hill
And I entered through, the curtain hissed
Into the house with its blood-red bowels
Where wet-lipped women with greasy fists
Crawled the ceilings and the walls
They filled me full of drink
And led me round the rooms
Naked and cold and grinning
Until everything went black
And I came down spinning
I awoke so drunk and full of rage
That I could hardly speak
A fag in a whale-bone corset
Draping his dick across my cheek
And its into the shame
And its into a guilt
And its into the fucking fray
And the walls ran red around me
A warm arterial spray

also Aphex Twin "Funny Little Man"

I would like to fuck you up the bunghole, and then I will sneak into your room and cut your cock off and stuff it in my mouth, and chew them up with my little pearlies.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 29 March 2003 03:46 (twenty-three years ago)

wow, that is bad. That make ol' Nick's sound like Dr.Seuss.

isn't that a Placebo lyric?

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Saturday, 29 March 2003 04:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Placebo sampled it from Aphex

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 29 March 2003 04:29 (twenty-three years ago)

errrr, no.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Saturday, 29 March 2003 04:33 (twenty-three years ago)

According to this they did

The band Placebo samples the computer voice used at the end of "Funny Little Man" (see section H.5) for their hidden track "Evil Dildo" from the album _Without You I'm Nothing_.

"Under the house
Under the house
It came out of the wall
A single cadaver
(under the house)
It went under the house
Scream in the trees
Under the moon
(scream in a dream)
Solid the grave
(vile stinking)
Stone cold ambition
Solid and gross
It went under the house..."

"Drive to the forest in a japanese car
The smell of rubber on country tar
Hindsight done me no good
Standing naked in the back of the woods
The cassette played poptones
I can't forget the impression you made
You left a hole in the back of my head
I don't like hiding in this foliage and peat
It's wet and I'm losing my body heat
The cassette played poptones
This bleeding heart
Looking for bodies
Nearly injured my pride
Praise picnicking in the British countryside"

How bout hip-hop legend BIG P-MYTH's lyrics?

"Crotch Ass bitches just don't mean a thing
Bust up in your dome with my dong waggling
Bling Bling Bling hangin from my fuckin balls
Shittin in your kitchen then I wipe it on the walls
Cause You know Big P-Myth just don't give a fuck
And yo bitch look like Donald Duck, bust it

You know what the fuck be goin down
BIG P-MYTH Aughgughg BIG P-MYTH Aughgughg
Motherfuckers Motherfuckin Fuckin Around
BIG P-MYTH Aughgughg BIG P-MYTH Aughgughg"

ANd that's just a sample of it.

Actually, "Big P-Myth" isn't real, that's the name I use at work when I'm really bored and I kill some time freestyling on the email to my friends with the most offensive language I can put out.

I AM BIG P-MYTH

hmmm. so what this is saying is that the voices on that track weren't from a crazed stalker's message on Molko's answering machine at all? several hundred lyric sites would argue with that.

Depends what drug Devoto's using tho, it might be something warm and cuddly. Maybe a hot toddy! What could be better for a romantic evening on the tundra?

"He's a boy, you want a girl so tear off his cock, tie his hair in bunches, fuck him, call him Rita if you want."

Perhaps. But the Aphex Twin EP came out a year before the Placebo album did.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 29 March 2003 15:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Holy shit, Justyn, how could I have forgotten that! Holy Bible is chock-full of disturbing lyrics, too... '4st 7lb.' is particularly good in that regard.

And does anyone else find the line "Throwing darts in lover's eyes" from 'Station to Station' as disturbing as I do? I'm sure it's meant in the metaphorical sense, but it gave me a vivid visual image the first time I heard the song, and I haven't been able to shake it since...

Anything by Necro of Brotha Lynch Hung totally take the cake.

phil-two (phil-two), Saturday, 29 March 2003 17:01 (twenty-three years ago)

"It's Business as Usual" by Barry Adamson

Lyrics consist entirely of schizophrenic stalker answering machine messages, alternately threatening and cajoling.

"I saw you in the park the other day and....I guess you didn't see me...you were walking right towards me and....you walked right fucking past me! I don't know what the hell is wrong with you....we miss you..."
