Last year ended with all the great artists releasing albums, so no wonder there has been kind of a drought so far this year.

are you guys kidding me? maybe in terms of rock, or artist albums, but i've got more good new singles than i know what to do with. perlon's got a new one out; logistic's output (monobox, cabanne) is great; traum is way on point with new releases from miss dinky and the traum 4 comp; new shit on tigersushi; killer new record by the bug on tigerbeat6... these are all just the odds & ends sitting next to my desk right now. i think the flow of strong dance vinyl has been unbelievable since the beginning of the year. i realize none of these make the impact that a single, big artist album does (or some genre upheaval), but in terms of sheer quantity, i sure ain't complainin'.

uh I'm dumm today. that was supposed to link to the Allmusicguide page for El Gran Silencio's Super Riddim Internacional! Vol. 1. It's really great music from Mexico, and that's why I'm not complaining about 2003 so far.
