i've been trying to figure it out for a while now...
i know there's a sample from the wierd proto gabber track from the clockwork orange soundtrack in there, but there's also several vocal samples...one is a kind of moby esque gospel singer type thing, but there's another one about 2:20 into the song that for some reason i think might be elliot smith
this is obviously almost definitely wrong (for a start the voice is probably a woman)but does anyone know what it actually is?

while under the influence, i swore the sample was bitz of 'i didn't understand' by elliott smith run through pro tools. now, somewhat sobered, i think it may still be.

RJD2 did sample elliott smith on this album - i don't know what or on which track, but i know he did. it's memorable because Deadringer is one of the very few ways that i've ever been able to tolerate anything by elliott smith

I guess it's just the first six seconds of that Elliott Smith song. What's the "mobyesque gospel singer type thing" in Ghoswriter though?

jesus,i felt stupid and slightly insane for thinking it was elliot smith...
thanks for confirming my sanity...
as for the mobyesque gospel singer type thing,i just meant the main vocal sample-not the best description, but i think the very start of it sounds like something moby would sample, and i just wanted to distinguish it from the sample i was talking about...

RJD2 sampled Elliott Smith's "I Didn't Understand" from XO on "Ghostwriter"
