which cheeses were regularly mentioned on the Monkees TV show?

I can so far think only of limberger, in an episode where the zany foursome were trying to entertain a european princess they'd rescued from her evil court mentor. Peter offered her some five week old limberger cheese from their fridge. Any other notable mentions?

They don't have cheese in China.

There was one episode when Sandy pushed Pigsy into a vat of milk though.

Surely "one episode per series". And then they would fight a demon who had taken Pigsy's shape. Actually this inspires another question...

i've done my time being cynical about cheese, and now i'm on approbation.

The best thing about cheese, is it's economical use of fuel over long journeys ... that and it's favourable 'cheese to razorblades' ratio, making it a delicious snack that's almost guaranteed never to make your mouth and gums bleed.

one year passes...
Um, is anyone actually going to asnswer the cheese question instead of babbling like idiots?

Hey, there's no Sandy or Pigsy from the Monkees show.

Davy Jones. Ha!

Aside from limburger, I have no recollection of cheese being a common theme in the show. But Nesmith was always eating, so it wouldn't surprise me.

This is a good question.

I re-viewed Head last night, after reading the piece in this month's Mojo. It makes much more sense now. Almost linear. Is the "Four Seasons" that Cheesy W. mentioned above a ref. to the "As We Go Along" sequence? I'd like to think it was.
