Also, there's much talk of Love being unable to play on "Forever Changes" and replaced by sessioneers, but I've also heard this denied. Don't know.

I'm pretty sure that was the case, since the band sorta assembled from other bands and were half-stitched together for things like the ultra-twee "Lollipop Man." But the brief bio here isn't forthcoming.
