As in the software? God bless iTunes and all who sail in her.

If you want open source, or run on an intel box, try CDex

For PCs... I've never had any problems with Audio Catalyst. That, along with Nero for burning CDs, and you're set.

Use FreeRip. It can also rip to Ogg, the smaller, much better sounding, and open-source format.

BTW, Ogg plays in Winamp as well (make sure you have the full version of Winamp though).

ExactAudioCopy is the way to go. It's free, rips very accurately, and is much easier to set up now than it was in older versions. I've ripped a lot of stuff, and have never had a bad rip.

Exact Audio Copy and Feurio here.

I love me my Musicmatch.

CDEx works for me - Exact Audio Copy will let you copy 'protected' cds if you're inclined to do such evil things (you're taking money from the artists!!!!!!!1111), but it's much slower to do so and i'm used to CDEx's very simple interface at this point.

Pyro - it does everything you want, rips, burns, converts, records from vinyl or cassette or radio, the whole shebang!
