Looking for Tape Trader(s)

Hi folks,

I finally have some free time for this summer, so I am interested in trading/hearing music with/from any similarly interested people on here. Be warned that currently I am still living in the Dark Ages with being able only to offer cassettes right now (though I can receive CD mixes, if that's your m.o.), but there is some hidden purpose to that as well.

About my tastes: Basically, they lean towards the late 60s-early 80s period, and my 'strength' would be particularly in the (seemingly) lesser-discussed progressive/related bands on this board. Though really at the end of the day what I love most is a song that I can sing along with in the car, and the more happy/sad it is, the more I am likely to connect with it. Generally I'm not into lo-fi/DIY/garage sound/aesthetic. Strong harmonies always a plus, as is busy/aggressive/non-static drumwork. More into rock than techno/drum machine stuff. Not afraid of solos of any sort, as long as they're good.

Past those basic markers, I don't have any solid anchors to provide--I don't really care how long or short the track is, how well-known vs. obscure & critically lauded vs. universally derided the band is, how contemporary versus old their influences are, how complex or simple their music is, how hippy-dippy/Aquarian versus slit-your-wrists/Goth the lyrics are (though a balance is nice), etc.

None of this ultimately matters, of course...I can listen to just about anything at least a handful of times.

If interested in trading, please post here or email me...Thanks!
