Taking Sides - Loose Fur vs Think tank

Lose your guitarist, go all strung-out 'experimental' melancholy. But who does it best?

Asking this because I've been giving Loose Fur a lot of time lately, and it strikes me that it's a very similar album to what Think Tank wanted to be (You Were Wrong could almost be off TT) only more concise and (therefore?) more effective. TT loses it bad in the middle third, whereas LF doens't have time to.

(And yes, I know in terms of band-lose-member chronology I outta be comparing YHF with TT, but LF seemed closer to it musically/idealistically.)

Tell me who recorded Loose Fur and I'll think about it ... ?

It's Jim O'rourke and jeff tweedy.

Persoanlly, I prefer Loose Fur over Think Tank, as the Norman Cook collabs with Blur are pretty awful sounding and they clash really badly.

Ugh! Ugh! ugh! Would you prefer Frying Pan, or Fire? Devil or Deep Blue Sea? What am I doing on this thread? I feel unclean!

I love the way Tweedy sings liek he's in a coma.
