M Carty (mj_c), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, from watching a stupefyingly inane bit of the live coverage a few weeks ago, I've just recalled that he said the last album he'd bought was Popstars by Hear'say.

This is not a lie.

M Carty (mj_c), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

yay!! tickle is my nu-god!! d'oh!!

haha if m carty is korrekt, mark s: nil, doom-e: a million!!

(ps cameron must stay)

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

What on EARTH are you people talking about?

kate (kate), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 12:52 (twenty-two years ago)

It's coming back to me more clearly now: it was when they were doing the pedallo task. I was watching in disbelieving terror as both Justine and Steph were going on about how great Shania Twain was (although I suppose Steph has arguable 'is she really human?' qualities to Shania). Then came Jon T's mention of Hear'say.

M Carty (mj_c), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 12:54 (twenty-two years ago)

tickle is a geezer! hear'say is precisely what people from norwich should listen to...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:23 (twenty-two years ago)

He's from Staines though, isn't he? So maybe Julie by Ali G and Shaggy would be more his cup of tea.

M Carty (mj_c), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

War Of The Worlds, obviously.

suzy (suzy), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

then jon t is my MAN! war of the world ROXX. hear'say, whilst being under-appreciated by, oh, i dunno THE WORLD, jeff wayne has stood the test of time!

doom-e, Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, but time will tell on Hear'Say

M Carty (mj_c), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Ladysmith Black Mambazo - Let's Sit Down and Negotiate
The Beatles - Baby You're a Rich Man
The Sound of Warhammer 40 000

bert (bert), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Is the Warhammer album just a boltthrower best of?

M Carty (mj_c), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:49 (twenty-two years ago)

God yeah! Boltthrower - that's the band I was thinking of. Tickle probably has all of their output.

Oops.

bert (bert), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Steph SO looks like a Shania fan.... and she was married to a footballer, and everyone knows how pitiful most footballer's musical tastes are.

Jon would have a Dire Straits album on his Walkman. I reckon he was lying about the HearSay record.

Cameron - he'd be a Daniel O'Donnell and Big Country fan, I reckon... with Eric Clapton for his 'far out' moments.

Tania - Peter Andre, I suppose. And any nameless, faceless R&B top 40 act that would get heavy rotation in the soulless clubs she frequents in London (ChinaWhite - oh dear).

Ray - Oasis or something suitably laddy and stupid, obviously. Gos - UK garage chart compilations.

Sissy was the only housemate who looked like she had any musical pizzazz. But unfortunately she wore Acupuncture trainers, so, of course, her views would be discounted immediately.

Federico? He'd have the whole Gloria Gaynor collection on 12", I reckon. And a few Man Parrish extended mixes to really get him ready for a night of woman-bashing.

d'ya reckon jon was lying in an effort to be hip and down with the kids?

doom-e, Wednesday, 18 June 2003 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Gos - UK garage chart compilations

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

...the way things are going, Gos could win Big Brother... no-one dislikes him or nominates him.... and he's a chef....so no cooking worries.

russ t, Wednesday, 18 June 2003 15:15 (twenty-two years ago)

also he loves liberty x

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 15:25 (twenty-two years ago)

i used to wear Acupuncture trainers - i also invented the remix.

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 15:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Steve... I used to wear Hi Tec's... but that was then, this is now. I was probably about 8.

Now, if you'd worn Buffalo trainers...well, you just wouldn't admit to such a heinous fashion horror.

But those Acu trainers.... eeew.

And I'm well aware you invented the remix.

(btw those digitalspy links are to where the housemates talk about music. I nearly went insane trying to find the one about Shania Twain as I'm sure I saw that too but hey..)

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 18 June 2003 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi N - I think the Shania Twain one was on the last Bank Holiday Monday (at the end of May), around 8am, if that helps.

M Carty (mj_c), Thursday, 19 June 2003 08:08 (twenty-two years ago)
