Clea presents Cicada-Download It, really 80s style dronehouse, a bit like a Spiritualized bassline with a big swirling Dead or Alive synth over it, haven't heard it enough to make a final decision but at the mo' it's one of the best of the year.

Syndicated People-Be Right, Impeccably produced french meets english house, it's dead like Audio Bullys actually in the sense that the production has that hyper new sheen to it, I can really see someone making a wicked album of stuff like this eventually, it seems to be the most new sounding stuff.

I found a rip on Slsk, it's bad quality and has tongey saying WEEKEND BUSINESS TURN IT UP beforehand, but is pretty great still. It's pretty cheesey and has a vocal which becomes more annoying but it's still good.

Don't know if it's the one of this year's best, but it's definitely a danceable tune.

It's only really getting good now, still could do with a few more big singles, I don't feel there's been anything I'll keep listening to for months, in the way that I still listen to last years best like Archigram etc. That Cicade tune might get very old very quick I suspect.

Dronehouse = Jon Carter's latest invention (he really should become a journo) so no surprise that Ronan's on it :~) Hasn't house always been about the drone, what about Wild Pitch?

What's the sound like Ronan? Is it like Archigram? And is that new Crydamoure comp worth getting?

I think the stuff Carter's going on about is a bit silly though, he's becoming really boring and a bit of a drone himself. the Paul Jackson track The Push that he mentions is quality and obviously Diabla is deserving of praise but Carter's sets have lost the fun element, he only plays the tough tracks these days, and the Saville Row stuff he's pushing is truly awful, woeful. His breezeblock set was tragically bad for a man who did such a wicked one the first time around.

That tune is a bit like So Much Love To Give and a bit like On My Own by Ulrich Schnauss and a bit like maybe a cheesier discofied Primal Scream, I'm talking loopy bass heavy stuff with loads of reverb that whips through the speakers in the same way as a Spiritualized circa Ladies and Gents record might, obviously we're pitching things up significantly.
