Funny enough I pulled out my CD of "Green Thoughts" and gave it a spin through this week for the first time in years.

The Smithereens are a better powerpop band than many of the bands that get that title (like it or not). Besides that, they get some killer raw Marshall guitar tones on those early records.

My ex-girlfriend had the album with "Too Much Passion", so alas I cannot give it another spin.
