Saw them at the Right Bank in Brooklyn, and they were.. not bad, I guess but incredibly ameteurish. Sounded like a lot of the bands I would see play in basements in Boston. Then I find out it's a guy from Deerhoof (who I also saw play in a basement in Boston) and they get good reviews. Anybody have opinions on their recorded works?

i've heard a couple of tracks ... not very good at all. take deerhoof and subtract the excellent musicianship and inventive songwriting.
