SYR 5, Sonic Youth.

Unforgivable. But also, my own fault for believing at one point that Kim Gordon could fart into a microphone and it would work as a limited edition.

What's the concept of this one?
The only SYR I've heard is the double CD where they play various 20th century classical compositions.
I found that to be dubious at best, though more interesting than most other things I've heard from them in the 90s.

Øystein Holm-Olsen (Øystein H-O), Monday, 23 June 2003 22:48 (twenty-two years ago)

The Datsuns cd, AC/DC obsession. Or maybe it was the other way around. I can't really remember last summer too clearly!

Ha ha, serious answer later when I've woken up.

The Seahorses, John Squire's solo album, and Ian Brown's solo albums all proved my Stone Roses fetish was far too silly for words.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:25 (twenty-two years ago)

(jg) ((jg)), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Jody - hmmm the first few tracks, esp. the first one, are indeed way better than what I expected. But still, listening to it the first few times, I knew I had crossed the line and gone too far..
When you do get this feeling, there's usually no going back alas.. The dream is over and all those worthwile albums you still hadn't checked out will remain unexplored..

Fabrice (Fabfunk), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:42 (twenty-two years ago)

The Auteurs V. MU-ziq.

I realised my Luke Haines obsession had... actually, no, I just realised the things I like about him aren't on this record.
