No, really, this is about records.
What worthy surprises did you stumble across in the $4.99 rack at the local grocery store. Sure, 98% of it is utter, utter rubbish...but have you ever found anything exceptionally amazing in the remaining 2%?
I found the following:
- A copy of Parallel Lines for $6.99
- A 2-CD comp of "Techno/House" music for $4.99

Also: Back in the early 90s, I saw (what I thought was) a Bob Marley album in what looked like an old fashioned longbox, for $6.99. I didn't investigate further. I should have. I saw the same record in the shop for $44.00 ...it was a 4CD set with a booklet in the middle.
DAMN!

There is a record store in Orono, Maine called "Dr. Records." It is a guy who buys used records at yard sales across this great state. It takes the LPs home, and then puts a hardcore, highend nitty gritty record vac to them.

He then sells these LPS for 1.99 to 3.99.

Oh, it's probably lost of Nilson Schmilson crap, you say.

Nay! He has had more than a dozen to date that made my jaw go boing boing.

Including, um, Klaatu.
