Songs From Beyond The Grave

I was listening to an old CD by GA band Five-Eight and in their song "God Damn It Paul" the singer reveals he died in a car accident with the aforementioned Paul at the wheel.

Can anyone think of other songs where the singer is dead?

Argh. There's at least one late '50's-early'60's teen tragedy song like this, but I can't remember which one it is. Not "Tell Laura I Love Her," but something like that.

Does Biggy really sing about already being dead?

Jacques Brel/Scott Walker - "The Funeral Tango" possibly, but it's tough to tell if the narrator is observing the his funeral participants in real time, or describing some imagined future. Maybe it would help to know French, but I don't.

Johnny Ace "Pledging My Love" became a hit after he shot himself backstage.

isn't the last song on "Ready to Die" with him dead, or does he just shoot himself at the end? Amazing song though...

"Love Vigilantes" by New Order. I think the narrator is a soldier who has been killed in a war but didn't know it until he sees it in a letter his wife is holding.

John Leyton - Johnny Remember Me - that chorus is haunting..

Genaside II: "Waistline Firecracker". That track has some of the scariest vocal snippets ever; it begins with someone praying and then an eerie voice says: "I was only twenty-one when I died..."
