It's someone whispering; Hey, let's take a trip, let's go freak out over pscyhe lounge funk. What album is this from and where can I buy more of same?

i've been listening a lot to Nino Ferrer's album "Nino and Radiah" lately. there's a beautiful naked black woman on the cover. it's kinda french, but all sung in english over mellow, summery folk/funk. good shit.

i've never found any information on him.

but there's no song called Freak on it.

What record label is it on? I might download a shitload of Nino tonight. The 'freak' track is, I think, a psych-exploitation movie-track but unsure.

it's from 74 on CBS. the track listing is

South
Moses
Vomitation
Hot Toddy
Mint Julep
The Garden
Looking for You
New York

it's got a beautiful gatefold with a weird psychedelic water color painting with a unicorn crashing out of a big purple dog's ass, a girl with just hair and dress but no body, a baby with what looks like lettuce on it's head, and a girl masturbating. weird.

2 full CDs worth of singles from the 60s, plus 14 full length albums that include Metronomie, Nino Ferrer & Leggs, Blanat, Nino & Radiah Et Le Sud, Suite En Oeuf, Ex Libris, 13e Album, and La Carmencita -- as well as some great live material from Italy in 1970, other bonus live tracks, and some additional singles! The set's also packaged in a way that leaves all the albums nicely discreet -- and features a 50 page comic book in the middle, plus a bonus DVD with images of Nino! Limited edition, and packaged as one of the nicest box sets we've ever seen!
