link isn't working for me, what is it?

50 Cent "Wanksta" vs. Devo "Whip It" -- and it's fucking fantastic.

Andrew Frye (paul cox), Sunday, 29 June 2003 06:09 (twenty-two years ago)

wow. must hear.

M Matos (M Matos), Sunday, 29 June 2003 06:28 (twenty-two years ago)

its not so great matos!! i mean yeah nice job very clever to the remixer for realizing both songs are at the same tempo but who wants to ever hear whip it again... how about wanksta over future sound of london - papua new guinea!!

trife (simon_tr), Sunday, 29 June 2003 06:48 (twenty-two years ago)

you could call it wankstua new guinea....or papua new wankstea

trife (simon_tr), Sunday, 29 June 2003 06:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I like "Whip It" still. I'm interested...though "PNG" would be great too. have there been a lot of "Wanksta" boots? I've fallen behind

M Matos (M Matos), Sunday, 29 June 2003 06:55 (twenty-two years ago)

(and I'd like to actually hear it--that link doesn't work, at least for me)

M Matos (M Matos), Sunday, 29 June 2003 07:00 (twenty-two years ago)

no i like whip it too but i dunno it just sounds flaccid... even another devo song wouldve been better, how about 'its not right'!!

trife (simon_tr), Sunday, 29 June 2003 07:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Keith McD (Keith McD), Sunday, 29 June 2003 08:35 (twenty-two years ago)

trife (and anyone else) more comments on the second vol of 30-step history of hiphop (now in 60 pts) plz

mark s (mark s), Sunday, 29 June 2003 13:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow. I didn't like "Wanksta" but this really makes the song sound a lot better. It also makes 50 Cent's voice/deliver sound so much more candyassed, which I think is somewhat appropriate.

Matthew Perpetua (Matthew Perpetua), Sunday, 29 June 2003 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

What is the MTV mash show?

Rufus King, Monday, 30 June 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

its a new show on in the UK where they will be playing videos to go with bootlegs created either by themselves or 'borrowed' from other people (like the good Mr Frenchbloke perhaps)

people will go on about how cool it is even tho its unlikely to be as innovative or good as MTV Megamix which ran about 4 years ago...the way forward is to make some mash-up videos like that 'its Goin Down' track where the video goes all glitchy and chopped up to match the music - good stuff.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 30 June 2003 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

unlike me as i told them you couldn't polish a turd.
their choice of what makes a good video / track was questionable.

frenchbloke (frenchbloke), Monday, 30 June 2003 17:51 (twenty-two years ago)

this is really effin' great.

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 30 June 2003 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)
