England Dan and John Ford Coley: EXPLANATION PLEASE?!

While I am well aware that AMG has them listed as having multiple albums, I would REALLY like to know why when I do a search on any music store computer it makes them appear that the only album ever to exist is the Very Best of England Dan and John Ford Coley? I understand there's such a thing as "out of print" but come on people, its as if the ablums dnot' really exist...

And because I fully understand the absurdity of me even wanting to know about them I'll save group members the time of having to ask the following questions...

Q1) Bryan, why the hell do you care about these guys
A1) No fucking clue, its just always bugged me

Q2) Have you seen these guys?
A2) Yes, and so should you: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&uid=CASS70307110043&sql=A5v6wtr4qklmx

Q3) You STILL want to know about these guys?
A3) Yes, "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" is pure AM gold, despite their suckiness at everything else they do...

Q4) What about the mustaches?
A4) Hey, it was popular then...

That should save some time in posting...

Their appearance on (and contribution of updated theme song to) 'James At 16' alone slates them for immortality.

Actually, I think "The Very Best of England Dan and John Ford Coley" was their only album.

bryan,

those music store computers are tied into distributors' inventories. most music stores (note: most) that offer these computers rarely carry new (if any) vinyl.

the only title that is probably stocked by a distributor is their only CD, the best of.

if you're interested in the LPs, try the gemm link above or ebay.

I definitely would like to hear the Jimmy/Dan Seals tracks the above obit mentions.

"England Dan and John Ford Coley" is about as great a '70s band name as you could hope for.

I get these guys confused with Hamilton Joe Frank and Reynolds quite a bit.. in fact I still am not sure which is which.

I own a non-greatest hits England Dan and John Ford Coley LP that I took from my mom and have never listened to once. It has a black and white cover and the 2 dudes are smiling as if one of them just told a joke.

Okay.. they must be smiling on the back-cover because I wouldn't have thought that otherwise..
