Drag City currently has a teaser in news section saying that forthcoming is an "archival release" from the Jews. If this means they're releasing the Jews' early demos (sometimes seen as a bootleg called "Trillion Story Walkup" or something like that), this makes me deliriously happy. I have a cassette tape of those demos (a bunch of extemely low-fi little songs and instrumentals, a few of which ended up on The Arizona Record), and it's truly one of my favorite things ever.

Where's this rumor from? I ask because I have grown into an enormous Silver Jews fan and think myself to be plugged into as many direct sources of Joos Noos as one can be. I do know DCB has been a strong BBJr fan for awhilesnow, though.
