over on the best rap album thread someone mentioned that i used to love h.e.r. caused some feud with ice cube that threatened to spill over into violence before louis farrakan intervened
anyone able to elaborate?

Ice Cube thought (rightly) that Common was dissing West Coast rap: "I seen niggaz slammin' her / And takin' her to the sewer," etc. Cube responded on record (title, anybody?), Com put out "The Bitch in You," everyone got testy, Farrakhan was called in (Com as Chicago guy). Everyone's cool now though.
