Ok, this one is driving me crazy. I'm pretty sure his first name was Louis, but he made really quirky electronic pop and I'm pretty sure that it was the 60s and that he was french. I remember one specific song that was basically just a groovy gogo beat with lots of fun electronic sounds over it. And no, it wasn't Perrey/Kingsley.

Not Louie Austen, by any chance? He's Austrian, not French, but he's been doing electro-crooning for a good few years.

No. From what I remember he either mainly or exclusively did instrumental tracks. Thanks, though! He very well might've been 70s, but I remember it sounding very 60s france.A little part of me thinks I might be badly misremembering some of Pierre Henry's rock forays, but I still feel like this guy was doing something different. And maybe was named louis?

I was going to guess Pierre Henry, but, uhh, Cecil Leuter? Here's Cecil Leuter from 1969:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lozIL61lVPM
Let us know if you work it out! Sounds pretty interesting.

Aha!!! That's him!! That album "Pop Electronique" is the one I used to have.I don't know why I was holding on to "Louis". Maybe b/c of Louis Barron. Thanks so much! A void in my heart has been refilled!!
