I'm a hardcore Juddite, so it was difficult for me to pick songs from the band's later period. I'm still trying to get into Time and Tide, which seems to be the undisputed masterpiece of the post-Judd Enz. A few songs stand out, but I'm still not very taken by it. I will keep listening.
(from The Beginning of the Enz demos)
"Split Ends"
"For You"
"129 (Matinee Idyll)"
"Spellbound"
(Mental Notes versions)
"Under the Wheel"
"Stranger Than Fiction"
"Time for a Change"
"Maybe"
"Titus"
"Sweet Dreams"
"True Colours (Let's Rock)" (live in Auckland, 1976)
"Bold as Brass"
"Charlie"
"Semi-Detached"
"I Got You"

There was. I included a few on my list and someone else mentioned "Titus."

yeah i cited "titus", i don't really like anything much else by em tho, i reckon tim finn is about the most irritating singer in the hist of rock. "give it a whirl" is cool & "leaky boat" sounds good on the radio too.

I prefer Phil Judd's vocals on the early stuff, but I think Tim Finn has a great voice, too, and it has evolved in interesting ways over the years.

Trendy? Really? It's just a matter of personal taste with me and I don't think they sucked after Phil Judd left. I just enjoy the earlier stuff more. The last four songs on my list are without Phil Judd. Well, he rejoined briefly during the recording of Dizrhythmia, but I don't think he was involved at all with the recording of "Bold as Brass" and "Charlie," and he was completely out of the picture by the time of "Semi-Detached" and "I Got You."
When Crowded House first came out, I thought it was the most awful stuff I'd ever heard, but Neil Finn could really nail it sometimes with his writing with the Enz. And Crowded House doesn't sound quite so bad to me now. I'm not so familiar with Neil's more recent solo work, but I'd like to hear it.
