[apologies custos for the DOUBLE deletion of the repeat thread, bit of a mod liaison mix-up there ahem]

[Indeed]

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 18 July 2003 11:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah. It's okay. I kept getting a "Turn Back you POXY FULE" error, so I was unaware that both versions actually made it through.

Anyhow...any answers?

Of Skins And Heart/The Church - Aus and US versions could do with a refit. Though I'm not sure exactly how it would go...

Hey, you left off 3IB's title track. Surely a mistake

Fabrice (Fabfunk), Friday, 18 July 2003 12:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I've done this myself using a CD burner for both Everything But the Girl's US & UK debuts and Kings of Convenience. No special sequenciing - I just took the tracks unique to the second release and tacked them onto the end. No snappy title either, unless I combine them all and call it Everything But the Convienience Is the New Eden.

Dude, you left "World War" off of the Cure one... c'mon, get with it. Damn.

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 18 July 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

oops, my bad.
Revised Track List:
15. Another Day (Dempsey/Smith/Tolhurst) - 3:43
16. World War (Some buys in the band) - Short.
17. Grinding Halt (Dempsey/Smith) - 2:49

I don't know if the new reissues do this or not, but Simple MInds' "Sister Feelings Call" should be ammended to "Sons and Fascination".

one month passes...
I would say there are a few tracks on the "The Clash" album that simply don't fit in chronologically. "I Fought The Law" would easily have been the highlight of an extended "Give'em Enough Rope" though.

One release that is actually two versions of an album merged into one is Sundaze's re-release of The Hollies "Dear Eloise", which includes the "Butterfly" tracks that weren't on the original American version. While having the American cover and title, the songs have been sequenced as "Butterfly" with three added bonus tracks, one of which is the classic "King Midas In Reverse", possibly the best thing The Hollies ever did.

Other than that, both the American and British versions of Traffic's "Mr. Fantasy" album were without several of the best tracks. Merging them together clearly creates a better album.
