Satan's Cheerleaders, classic or dud?

Infinity was good. I have two others as well. Mancuso and ... hmm... I don't remember, but it's black w/silver ink and has an illustration of a devil fucking a goat on the back and a pyramid on the front.

All of them have their good points, but I think they "jumped the shark" with infinity (or I guess before they released their first proper album, since that's a collection of singles).

I only ever had the first single, "I'm Damned," but it was great.

Yus. Put on a good live show back in 1993 at UCI when I saw them, pretty good interviewees too.

I seem to recall a single or two on the Sympathy For the Record Industry label that were great in a very grimy, garagey sort of way, sort of like the Mummies with a bit of a rockabilly undertone.......

four years pass...

Can you really say no to this?

This one might be even better.

Uncalled 4=guy from Satan's Cheerleaders btw. That first link I posted is the first song off the Satan's Cheerleaders "Infinity" compilation, which I'm digging more and more as I hear it.

I have that Sympathy for the Record Industry comp. It's kinda hit and miss, but when it hits it sends shivers up my spine.

Ha, was just thinking about said compilation the other day. I stand by my earlier post, good band, fun to talk with.

Hrm, didn't realize this was a band with much output. I have a 7" called "Rollercoaster" that I never liked particularly much. All I remember about it now is that the b-side ("Outer Limits") made me want to listen to Screeching Weasel's "I believe in UFO's" instead. The most memorable thing about it was the (rubbish) cover art by that guy who did Lords of Acid's _Voodoo-U_.

Probably not the best place to start.
