Is anyone else here envious of their dad's guitar/amp collection?

My old man has been a player since he was 12 (he's 51 now) and took major advantage of the whole 80s/everyone wanted to get rid of their Les Paul and buy a Kramer stage, thus he has a collection of about 34 guitars, like 12 USA-made strats, a bunch of Les Pauls that he bought offa dumbasses for liek $200-$300 (including a tobacco sunburst 25/50 anniversery), like 5 ES-335s, and an Elite Tele (which is more like a Les Paul, because it has 2 active pickups with independant volume and tone controls for each, making it awesome for high-gain distortion rockin. Also, he has like 10 1970s Fender amps, including 2 silverface super reverbs, which are, oh so sweet. He has a bunch of electro harmonix pedals from the 70s which my lil bro has assimilated into his system as well.

It's weird, because his weekend bar cover band that he's in now has convinced him to buy one of those all-in-one floor multi-effects/amp modeler things (I think the Boss one that costs like $250), and he tries to use it, but he fucking hates it. His usual gigging rig is a Mesa Boogie with an MXR Dynacomp, MXR flanger, Dunlop Crybaby, and some old DOD analog delay that takes 2 9Volt batteries, and that's what he's used to, but now he's giving himself an aneurism trying to figger out this multi-effetor.

Multi-effectors are not only harder to operate, but the effects are generally lamer. That, and they're just not as fun.

I am jealous of my dad's 1967 Gibson acoustic 12-string. Yes, I am.

Not quite the same thing, but my mum's boyfriend has the most wonderful 70's quadrophonic speaker system. Despite being older than me it still has the best sound I've ever heard coming from a home system. I am jealous, although he has said he may give it to me because it doesn't go now they've decorated the living room (priorities!).

(I should perhaps move this to the getting old thread)

Dad can't play any instrument for shit and Mom hates all music. Both of my brilliant careers explained!
