My mommy hits me for looking at the prevert pictures on the interweb. So I have to find something else to do like talk about music. I like synthesizers a lot. I like them so much, I would fuck a synthesizer if it had an orifice that wouldn't electrocute me. My question to you is, does anybody else feel this strongly about synthesizers? And where have all the cool synthesizer bands gone? Why is it the China Crisis record I just got off ebay, that was made when I wore a diaper, sounds more fun to listen to yet experimental than anything I have heard made in the last 10 years? Ditto for the Suicide album that sounds so futuristic? Does anyone else feel like the synthesizer stuff around these days is lame... monotonous, wallpaper techno- precious asswipe diddly doodly "IDM" or whatever they call it this week- illiterate rap/r&b- etc. I could go on but I know people would just get more and more annoyed if I did? So what's good now?

Jean-Michel Jarre released a new record this year. There's some real music for you instead of monotonous techno or illiterate rap. Those guys probably can't even play an instrument, let alone read notes. Why are they making music at all? Stupid fucks!

i vote Underworld. not new (in fact, broken up, really), but newer than what you mention.

also, later Bis has progressively funner synthtasticness. earlier Bis has some synth action, but it's not nearly as hot and heavy as later Bis. i'd say try Social Dancing-era onward. for best full-album of it, try Return to Central, although the Music for a Stranger World ep is highly recommended (the Japanese one has two extra tracks, one of which is worth every penny extra).
