Yeah -- it's on "Tooth, Fang & Claw" when the act was still Ted Nugent & the Amboy Dukes. "No Holds Barred" is something fromthat record you might also enjoy. Average version of "Maybelline"is included, an instro -- "Hibernation."

spent the last few days revisiting the three Amboy Dukes albums on Mainstream ... Holy CRAP! are they insane
totally great psych, totally insane guitar courtesy of Tedly, but more importantly, this whole band was just so AMBITIOUS .. i can't believe cuts like and "Scottish Tea", and John French was one HELL of a singer, seriously this kid had chtuzpah, love him so much .. whatta frontman
Just unreal how good the Amboy Dukes were. I dunno. They should almost be up there with Love and The Doors in my opinion.
"The Lovely Lady" from their first s/t album is up there with tracks like "Alabama Bound" by the Charlatans, or "Girl in Your Eye" by Spirit, or "Lemonaide Kid" by Kak as the most brain-melting psych tracks of the era. god damn.

John French was one HELL of a singer
John DRAKE, surely, not Drumbo!
Ever heard Marriage on the Rocks/Rock Bottom? I've owned the Mainstream and Discreet recordings but not the Polydor stuff in between.

I used to try to defend the Nuge. Stormtroopin' (Live at Hammersmith '79 version) was one of my favorite jogging songs. He's a hell of an axe slinger. But I can't make time for this dude no more.

The guy is a massive douche but had some great songs that hold up extremely well now. When i saw him in concert last year he thankfully didnt foul up the air with any political rants.

Funny thing is that, to this day, he'll still heap praise on the MC5, who were probably his worst nightmare: commies who blew him off the stage.

Ugh, I don't follow the news very closely (okay, much at all) so I didn't know what he said last month about Obama until I just Googled him. What a freaking loser. I feel bad and a little queasy for focusing even a little bit of attention on him.
