I love when artists come into their own, man. Aaron Funk is a true innovator, people, and his new 7" is two sides of brilliance. Anyone heard this?

Totally! The 7" is on some cut-up fusion shit. I don't know, it's sorta unclassifiable...it ain't the (usually killer) skronk i'm used to hearing from him

The Aquarius description said it had "slap bass" on it, which thoroughly depressed me.

The innovator tag has got to be a joke though. I mean I like some Venetian Snares stuff (a lot actually), but certainly nothing he's released can even be remotely classified as new, concept or sound-wise.

yes he's an innovator. he hopped the grid, try and tap your foot to his stuff and you'll break it. amazing sculpture.

the sounds he's using are fairly within the genre. but I never liked much of this music before, and I like snares.
