Is it my imagination or is ILX rather quiet this week in Kate's absence?
Perhaps we should dedicate this thread to kate and her favorite music and have a nice long thread for her return to work(assuming she doesnt pack it in) and the thread can waste away a few 'working' hours.

Pete Kember, Tuesday, 29 July 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

failing that we can talk about how nice her arse is compared to Kylie's.

Calum Bot, Tuesday, 29 July 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

And why doesn't she post from home? I mean how much wub can she make withg HSA and leave us alone.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 17:44 (twenty-two years ago)

THE STROKES ARE AWESOME

Nate Patrin (Nate Patrin), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 22:22 (twenty-two years ago)

She'll be back: kicking ass and eulogizing about the best CD she's just heard;>

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 22:31 (twenty-two years ago)

My new solo cd obviously.

Dave Matthews, Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:01 (twenty-two years ago)

She's spending a week in a rock n roll camp organised by myself learning how to play bongos for 24 hours straight.

Carter, Wednesday, 30 July 2003 04:05 (twenty-two years ago)

thank god that SOMEBODY finally taught her

Kingfish (Kingfish), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 05:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Bongos with distortion pedals?

Dirty Dronerock Boy, Wednesday, 30 July 2003 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

i miss the old girl, my mornings are a lot quieter...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

She'll be back, surely, and then - hopefully! - she'll report, inna appassionata stylee, on every little t'ing to magically ado 'bout nuthin but the Handsome Jedi SoundKnight's beardy li'l t'ing. (...And on evey t'ing else, presumably)

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I want Estonian dancehall now plz.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

You woooooot?

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Has Kate betrayed dronerock for DMB & reggae?

Dirty Dronerock Boy, Wednesday, 30 July 2003 15:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I come back from _my_ hols and it quiet around here.

We miss you Kate!

mei (mei), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

PS

I have a life-sized model of a DDB made of chocolate with strawberry liquer filling for you, but only if you claim it in the next 30 seconds!

mei (mei), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Tick...

mei (mei), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

mei (mei), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Eww.

How am I going to get that out of the carpet?

mei (mei), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

*insert carpet-munching joke here*

"It's Turkey Time!"

Kingfish (Kingfish), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Kate's gone, eh? TIME FOR SLAP BASS PARTY! *dialing up Flea, Les Claypool, Stanley Clarke, Larry Graham, et al*

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Can we come too?

Primal Scream, Wednesday, 30 July 2003 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

No, Bobby has to stay on his bike till he looses his gut.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I heard shes away practising bongos because she found out i plan to use bongos on the next album.

Jason Pierce, Wednesday, 30 July 2003 23:31 (twenty-two years ago)

She's still practising away. She'd rather play with Dave Matthews Band than return to work.

Carter, Thursday, 31 July 2003 11:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Buy, steal, rape or murder but just find Kate's feminist long-lost bongo tribute to Dave Matthews.

Everett True, Thursday, 31 July 2003 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I hear Joel plays tambourine on that.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 July 2003 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe she's inhabiting some other non-ilm "island" this time

george gosset (gegoss), Thursday, 31 July 2003 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

awwww poor chocolate DDB. What a waste.

Dirty Dronerock Boy, Friday, 1 August 2003 09:15 (twenty-two years ago)

What wee need is donuts to lure her back.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 1 August 2003 13:53 (twenty-two years ago)

A DDB made of chocolate donuts? Like a michelin man made of donuts!

Dirty Dronerock Boy, Friday, 1 August 2003 16:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd like to see his guitar rack.

mei (mei), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I bet Kate would love that too. As a welcome 'home' present.

Dirty Dronerock Boy, Friday, 1 August 2003 23:34 (twenty-two years ago)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~mmmmmmmmmm Donuts~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Donut Boy, Saturday, 2 August 2003 00:49 (twenty-two years ago)
When is kate back?
Sonic Boom, Sunday, 3 August 2003 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)
i am in love with the chocolate guitars. i can't wait for kate's comeback.
The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 3 August 2003 04:05 (twenty-two years ago)
Would anyone actually eat those chocolate guitars?
Sonic Boom, Monday, 4 August 2003 02:07 (twenty-two years ago)
Ahhh, sweet microcelebrity.
She's an estate agent in real life, y'know. With a pile of "Where The Heart Is" DVDs.
CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Monday, 4 August 2003 15:42 (twenty-two years ago)
I thought her and HSA collected 'Heartbeat' dvds not 'Where The Heart Is'.
Thats what she made me sign after that last gig.
Sonic Boom, Wednesday, 6 August 2003 23:11 (twenty-two years ago)
well, she's missing out on the wanker/dribbler threads on ILE, at least.
which is a shame for anybody to miss.
Kingfish (Kingfish), Thursday, 7 August 2003 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)
Ah, but she is back! I have seen some posts.
Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 7 August 2003 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)
Well maybe she's typing out a list of bands/albums that soundtracked her holiday!
What did you listen to or newly discover , Kate?
Helen Carmichael, Thursday, 7 August 2003 12:53 (twenty-two years ago)
If so welcome back Kate! Enjoy your holiday?
Maybe she's been rather quiet because one night her & HSA got really really drunk and got married like Ned did in Las Vegas and is scared how to break it to ILX ? ;o)
Pete kember, Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)
Flanders that is...
Pete Kember, Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:20 (twenty-two years ago)
Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:23 (twenty-two years ago)
heavens etc a diddly ;)
Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)
Aw man.
Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)
< hangs head in shame > Sorry Ned.
Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:31 (twenty-two years ago)
You must admit it's quite a compliment 'though: THE two great Neds - Raggett & Flanders.
Ned Kelly? He's a no-one
Ned Sherrin? Not even in the running
Ned's Atomic Dustbin? Forgotten about 'em already
Waking Ned? Haven't seen it yet, is it any good?
Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)
Hey, I'm happy to be highly ranked and all. :-)
Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 7 August 2003 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)
Hey what about me? I used to be famous.
Ned Glover, Friday, 8 August 2003 02:57 (twenty-two years ago)
Can we start a rumour that Kate was kidnapped by a spoon weilding Mercury Rev and forced to playing spaceflute for her life while held hostage in upstate New York?
Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 8 August 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)
As well as Bongos on the Dave Matthews Band album?
Jason Pierce, Friday, 8 August 2003 18:12 (twenty-two years ago)
i think i'll challenge Kate to a duel over those chocolate guitars..
Dirty Dronerock Boy, Monday, 11 August 2003 00:25 (twenty-two years ago)
Maybe she's been auditioning for the remake of 'Leon' where she has to kill Fred Durst.
If she's a method actress i suggest all at ILX chip in and pay her fee. How about it Kate?
Rashif, Monday, 11 August 2003 02:38 (twenty-two years ago)
Aaawwww, guys, I didn't know that you cared... ::sniff:: ... If you would like to take up a collection to buy me a new laptop that can access that there interweb from home then gladly I will come back and post all the doo-dah-day long. But it's expensive posting from web cafes and Suzy is going to be done cleaning soon!
Sniff. But I miss you all, too.
Yes. It rained the entire time that I was on holiday, so HSA and I sat indoors and wrote silly dronepop bubblegum tunes on Reason. Hooray! God knows what we'll do with them. I played them for Suzy and she laughed but she is mean.
It's funny cause I was just thinking about bongos the other day...
