Currently listening to the first Tubeway Army rekkid, and this song is pretty fly, actually. By no means as good as "Listen to the Sirens," but then what is?

I gotta go with the Trick. "Dream Police" is probably their masterwork--five minute psychotic concerto that contains some of Robin's best singing and Rick's best lyrics. Moreover, that fauz-symphonic buildup in the middle just gives me chills. Numan's song, by comparison, is pretty samey all the way through--it chugs along pleasantly enough, but doesn't have the air of claustrophobia and cold dystopia like "Down in the Park" or the aforementioned "LttS" or whatever.

I freaking love Cheap Trick!

I gotta go with Cheap Trick, mainly because I haven't heard the Tubeway Army song. But dammit, it's a great song, as are many Cheap Trick songs.

Oooh the Tubeway Army song is more paranoid, and I'm a Numan nut anyway, so... Gazza's version for me.
