ruined Mp3 files

Lately, when I tried to download new music, 50 cent-P.I.M.P and Lumidee from Kazaa, I've noticed that these songs were cut and funny noises were coming out of the speaker. Is this how the music industry is cracking down on MP3 downloading???

"Boy this sounds like shit; now I definitely won't buy it."

Probably just a bad rip. Try to avoid mp3s that are less than 192 bitrate. The RIAA is more likely to put up fake recordings. Like Madonna did.

yeah i got the same result trying to download Ashanti's new single "Rain On Me" & "Summertime" by Beyonce f/Ghostface. I made sure to download with bitrate = at least 128. It's definitely record company shenanigans.

Somebody should make some kinda power electronics album out of these MP3s. Who knows, maybe they're the work of some hardscrabble Kid606 wannabe who's on the majors' payroll.

most likely the ripper didn't know what they were doing and used a bad encoder.

Almost all new songs on Kazaa are like this. It's the record companies

its possible the files in question were downloaded by someone else from a server that they had been uploaded to in ASCII rather than Binary format. i did this by mistake once and found the files were full of these weird clicks and pops when i re-downloaded to check they were okay.

hahaha... "at least 128"

I don't download a thing unless it's 192.. or VBR and happens to be slightly under 192
